EC Safety Data Sheet

Anyone introducing a substance or product into commerce within the European Community (e.g. sells or distributes such product) is obliged to provide an EC Safety Data Sheet (EC - SDS) for this substance or product.

EC - Safety data Sheets are subject to specific requirements in regard to form and contents.

There are considerable differences between US - MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and EC-SDS.

A substance or product may not be considered a dangerous good in accordance with US regulations, but nevertheless be regarded as a dangerous good in transport within or from the EC or subject t to hazardous substances requirements.

For the creation of such EC - SDS it is indispensable to have a profound knowledge of the chemical and physical properties of any substance or product.
